Esquire's commerce team highlights standout launches from heritage sneaker updates to country star-designed outerwear and après-ski newcomers.
This week's standout releases include two clear favorites from the editors. The first is the New Balance 990v7, the latest iteration of the Made in U.S.A. sneaker line. The update features a slightly more streamlined upper with warm color accents at the mid-foot.
The second highlight comes from a Filson collaboration with musician Chris Stapleton, who has previously worked with the heritage brand on twill bags. This release focuses entirely on apparel, led by a reimagined Mackinaw cruiser jacket. "This collab, not his first with Filson, proves the man can do no wrong," said Luke Guillory, commerce editor.
Other notable launches include Mr Porter adding stock from Wythe, a New York label with cult following, and Prada releasing new versions of its America's Cup sneakers. Guillory also praised the new America's Cup designs, calling them "so damn beautiful."
Thom Browne earned mention for accessories beyond tailoring, specifically a ripstop puffer. Buck Mason received defense against online criticism, with Guillory stating one jacket proves detractors wrong. Sony continues producing its Walkman line, now as a high-end digital audio player.
