The spring/summer 2027 season concludes with its most anticipated stop. Beginning tomorrow, Paris Fashion Week brings together established maisons and rising designers for a definitive look at where warm-weather fashion is heading. The lineup spans from storied houses including Chanel, Dior, Celine, and Givenchy to independent labels such as Julie Kegels and Matières Fécales.
Several creative directors face particularly close scrutiny this season. Matthieu Blazy will unveil his second collection for Chanel, with observers eager to see how he continues reinterpreting the house's codes and whether he might revisit the naked shoe. Jonathan Anderson and Michael Rider remain in their respective positions at Dior and Celine, each still refining their vision. Sarah Burton at Givenchy, Julian Klausner at Dries Van Noten, and Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga round out the notable appointments at heritage brands.
While Paris is often associated with its grand houses, the city's emerging designers merit attention. Recent LVMH Prize winner Julie Kegels shows Monday afternoon. Central Saint Martins graduate Fidan Novruzova makes her Paris debut, and Georgian label Situationist—recognized for its precise, architectural tailoring—returns to the calendar. Zomer, Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, and Matières Fécales are also back, with the latter expected to deliver its characteristic runway provocations.
Several labels are resuming their Paris presence. Valentino returns after staging its fall 2026 show in Rome, and Maison Margiela comes back following a Shanghai presentation. Ester Manas, Sacai, and Christopher Esber also rejoin the schedule after absences.
Notably, this season brings only two designer debuts. Drew Henry steps in at Courrèges, where he must continue Nicolas Di Felice's revival of the Space Age house. Kai Nesselrath also makes his debut at Carven. After previous seasons crowded with high-profile appointments, this shorter list still carries significant interest.
